Bjørn Tørris Heggelund (1924-2009) was a notable Norwegian jurist and police officer. He served as the leader of Kripos from 1976 to 1993. He began his career after graduating from police school in 1945 and worked in various police positions across Norway. Heggelund was involved in illegal work during World War II, leading to his flight to Sweden. He was also known as a descendant of Eidsvoll man John Hansen Sørbrøden and had three daughters with his first wife, followed by a second marriage.
