Björn Samuelson, born December 5, 1951, in Arvika, Sweden, is a Swedish teacher and leftist politician. He served as a member of the Swedish Parliament from 1982 to 1996 for Värmlands län and was involved with the Education Committee and the Swedish Children's Book Institute. In 1994, he became the group leader of the Left Party. His career was marred by allegations of harassment in 1996, leading to a conviction for assault and other charges. He has since received parliamentary pension and is notable for being the longest-serving recipient.
