Björn Åke Thelin (1942-2017) was a Swedish musician, best known as the bassist for The Spotnicks. He earned the title of Gothenburg's rock king in 1958 while performing in a competition with his backing band, Blue Caps. In 2001, he published a book titled 'Dé vá då', reflecting on his life up to that point. Thelin continued to perform at various festivals, including notable events with Sveriges Rockprins and The Sixties in 2005. He is buried in Stampens cemetery in Gothenburg.
