Blagoje Nešković was a Serbian communist politician, partisan, and fighter in the Spanish Civil War. He was born on February 11, 1907, in Kragujevac, Serbia, and served as the first post-war prime minister of Serbia from 1945 to 1948. A member of the Yugoslav Communist Party since 1935, he fought in Spain's 129th Brigade 'Đuro Đaković'. After returning, he was politically active in Belgrade and organized resistance activities during the occupation. He later became a deputy prime minister of Yugoslavia but withdrew from public life after supporting an unfavorable resolution. He passed away on November 11, 1984.
