Blahoslav Hruška (May 5, 1945 – June 26, 2008) was a Czech Sumerologist, Assyriologist, and religion scholar. He worked at various institutions, including the Oriental Institute of the Academy of Sciences and the Hussite Theological Faculty of Charles University. Hruška studied old Near Eastern archaeology and cuneiform studies, earning several academic degrees. He served as an editor for the journal Archív orientální and was a visiting professor at institutions in Berlin and Rome. A passionate gardener, he passed away due to heart failure in Trnava.
