Bob Bruce Ashton (January 2, 1921 – November 14, 2006) was an American composer and music educator from Omaha, Nebraska. He studied at various institutions, acquiring a Bachelor's at Peru State College and a Master's at Southwest Missouri State University, along with postgraduate studies. Ashton served in the US Army during World War II and later taught instrumental and vocal music across several states. He was involved in a youth program and composed over 800 works, earning a Grammy nomination in 1964 and induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1972.
