Robert E. Glanzer was an American politician born on September 13, 1945, in Huron, South Dakota. A member of the Republican Party, he represented the 22nd district in the South Dakota House of Representatives from January 10, 2017, until his re-election in 2018. Raised on a farm, he worked as a bank employee dealing with agricultural loans and was co-organizer of the South Dakota State Fair in the 1970s. He passed away on April 3, 2020, at the age of 74 due to a SARS-CoV-2 infection, becoming one of the first victims of COVID-19 in the state.
