Bob Lanning is an American drummer born on April 4, 1948, best known for his work with Elvis Presley as a member of his TCB Band in 1970. He played on Presley's live album 'On Stage' and participated in record-breaking concerts at the Houston Astrodome. Lanning was recommended by Jerry Scheff to Elvis, who immediately liked Lanning's drumming style. Lanning worked with Presley until August 1970 and later transitioned to being a session drummer in Los Angeles, collaborating with various artists.
