Bodil Westerholm was Denmark's first female colonel, serving as chief of Denmark's Lottekorps from 1968 to 1983. She joined the Lottekorps in 1950 and became the head of Lottery Region V two years later. Westerholm was honored as the first woman in the Danish Armed Forces to be appointed colonel, receiving multiple awards, including the Knight's Cross of the First Class in 1980. She lived to be 101 years old and passed away on July 30, 2021, being remembered as a pioneering figure in her field.
