Bodo Kolbe is a German blues musician from Mörfelden-Walldorf, born on December 24, 1949. He is known for playing slide guitar, banjo, harmonica, and ukulele. In the 1970s, he was a pioneer of German-sung blues with his album 'Mer speele de Bluus'. He founded the band Dood un Deiwel in 1979 and Saure Gummern in 1984. Kolbe's lyrics, sung in Hessian dialect, reflect everyday life in Hessisches Ried, and he has also been politically active, particularly against the expansion of Frankfurt Airport.
