Bodvar Vilads Schjelderup, born on October 12, 1932, in Eide, Nordmøre, is a professor emeritus of architecture at NTNU, where he has worked since 1977. He graduated as a diploma architect from NTH in 1958 and practiced as an architect, planner, and designer in Helsinki, Trondheim, and Stavanger before joining the Institute of Building Art at NTNU. In addition to his architectural work, he has written hymns, with one of his own and two translations included in the 2013 Norwegian Hymn Book.
