Bogdan Globa is a Ukrainian LGBT rights activist who claimed asylum in the United States in 2016. He co-founded the charity Point of Support and later founded TERGO, an organization supporting parents of LGBT+ children. Notably, he became the first openly LGBT individual to address the Verkhovna Rada in 2013. In 2015, he initiated legal proceedings regarding discrimination based on sexual orientation. Globa married his partner in early 2021, and they currently live in New York City.
