Bogdan-Costin Murgescu, born on April 5, 1963, is a Romanian historian and university professor at the Faculty of History at the University of Bucharest. He has been a member of the Academia Europaea since 2020. Murgescu served as the Vice President of the Society of Historical Sciences in Romania from 1999 to 2011, and he was President from 2011 to 2019. In 2019, he was appointed as Honorary President of this society.
