Bongi Makeba was a South African singer and songwriter, born on December 20, 1950, in Pretoria, South Africa, and passed away on March 17, 1985, in Conakry, Guinea. She was the only child of renowned singer Miriam Makeba. Bongi had two children with US musician Nelson Lee. She moved to Guinea with her mother due to political pressures in the US and wrote several songs for her mother and other South African artists. In 1980, she released her only solo album, 'Blow On Wind'.
