Boo Morcom, born Albert Richmond Morcom on May 1, 1921, was an American pole vaulter known for his athletic achievements in the mid-20th century. He competed in the 1948 London Olympics, finishing sixth with a vault of 3.95 meters. Morcom was a three-time US champion in pole vaulting, securing titles in 1945, 1947, and 1948, and also claimed two US indoor championships in 1942 and 1949. Additionally, he won the NCAA title in 1947, showcasing his talent in collegiate athletics.
