After fleeing to Greece and then Germany, he immigrated to Canada in 1948. He worked as a mechanical engineer for Ontario Hydro and was a prominent figure in the Serbian community in Canada. He was the editor of the newspaper "Glas kanadskih Srba" and authored the book "Stopama predaka", a memoir detailing his life and experiences. He was also a radio host for the "Sumadija" program and was instrumental in the erection of a monument to Nikola Tesla at Niagara Falls. Dragasevich died in Toronto in 2020 at the age of 95.
