Border Gezi was a prominent Zimbabwean politician associated with ZANU-PF and a close ally of Robert Mugabe. Born on December 17, 1964, he served as the Minister for Gender, Youth, and Employment from 2000. He played a significant role in recruiting young supporters into militias during the 2000 elections, which were involved in violent incidents against opposition. Gezi was elected to the House of Assembly and previously served as a provincial governor. Tragically, he died in a car accident on April 28, 2001.
