Boris Artaschessowitsch Babajan, born December 20, 1933, in Baku, is an Armenian computer architect renowned for his contributions to supercomputer development in the Soviet Union, particularly the Elbrus series. He obtained his Ph.D. in 1964 and became a professor of computer science. Babajan worked at the Lebedev Institute for Precision Mechanics and Computer Technology until 1996 and led the development of the Elbrus-1, Elbrus-2, and Elbrus-3 supercomputers. He later held significant roles at Intel and received numerous prestigious awards for his innovations in computing technology.
