Boris Jesih is a Slovenian political scientist and politician, born in 1956 in Maribor. He has been employed at the Institute for Ethnic Studies in Ljubljana since 1980 and holds the title of Senior Research Fellow since 2007. Jesih completed his PhD on political participation of ethnic minorities in 2003, which was published in 2007. He is active in researching the Slovenian minority in Austria, political participation of ethnic minorities, and interethnic relations. He has served as state secretary in the Government Office for Slovenians Abroad since 2009.
