Boris Dikov Kopchev, also known as Mityo, was a prominent figure in the Bulgarian Workers' Party (Communists). He participated actively in the communist resistance movement during World War II, serving as a partisan in the Gorna Oryahovitsa partisan detachment. He held the position of commander of the Eighth Gorna Oryahovitsa Insurgent Operational Zone of the National Liberation Insurgent Army (NLIA). Kopchev was also a Bulgarian officer who achieved the rank of lieutenant general, notably fighting against Germany.
