His first exhibition occurred in Frankfurt in 1983. Over the years, he learned various techniques, particularly by studying Johannes Vermeer and Italian painters. Sokol gradually developed his own style in oil on canvas. He has exhibited his works in various locations in Germany and now works from his atelier on the island of Šolta, his birthplace.
