Boris Parashkevov is a Bulgarian linguist and professor of historical grammar and the history of the German language at Sofia University. He is also a translator of literary, scientific, popular science, and esoteric literature. He founded the Scandinavian studies department at Sofia University and has authored over 200 publications on German and Bulgarian grammar, etymology, and linguistics. Parashkevov has been a member of the Bulgarian Translators' Union since 1975 and was a co-founder of the Germanists' Union in Bulgaria. He participates in several editorial boards for linguistic journals.
