Boris Vladilenovich Shigin, born on December 24, 1952, in Balashov, Saratov Oblast, is a Russian poet, journalist, and bard. He has served as the chief editor of the literary magazine 'Sura' since 2003 and initiated the cultural and educational project 'In the Flow of Sura' in 2004. Shigin is a laureate of various awards, including the USSR Union of Journalists prize named after V. A. Karpinskiy and the Governor's awards for achievements in journalism and literature. He is also a member of the Writers' Union of Russia and has been recognized as an honored culture worker.
