Boris Šťastný is a Czech politician, doctor, and manager in health and social care, known for founding the largest network of institutions for the elderly and Alzheimer's patients in the Czech Republic. He has previously served in the public sector as an advisor to President Václav Klaus, a member of parliament, and a health expert for the ODS. Notably, he has been a long-time advocate for non-smoker protection, authoring anti-smoking laws and legislation for mandatory electronic prescriptions. After leaving ODS in 2013, he briefly stepped away from politics, later becoming the Prague chairman of the Motoristé sobě party.
