Boris Nikolaevich Tarasov, born April 2, 1947, in Vladivostok, is a Russian literary scholar and prose writer. He holds a Doctor of Philological Sciences degree and served as the rector of the A.M. Gorky Literary Institute from 2006 to 2014. Tarasov is a recognized figure in the Russian scientific community, a member of the Board of the Union of Writers of Russia, and the chairman of the Bunin Prize jury. He has received several prestigious awards, including the International Literary Prize named after F.M. Dostoevsky.
