Börje Rajalin, born on February 11, 1933, in Helsinki, is a notable Finnish art craftsman, mainly recognized as a silversmith. He designed simple-shaped silver jewelry, often enhanced with stones and ornaments, greatly contributing to the popularity of silver jewelry in Finland. Rajalin gained international recognition in 1958 through a successful participation in an avant-garde exhibition. He was the chief designer for Kalevala Koru from 1956 and later served as its artistic director. He also played a significant role in designing the Helsinki metro.
