Boyd Rivers (1934-1993) was an American singer and guitarist known for his contributions to Gospel Blues. He began engaging with music in church, transitioning from playing the blues at age 13 to spirituals at 16, influenced by his uncle Reverend Cleophus Robinson. He was recorded in Canton, Mississippi in 1978, played at the Mississippi Delta Blues Festival in 1979, and continued to record throughout the 1980s and early 1990s before passing away in Jackson, Mississippi.
