Bradley Jackson Kendell is a U.S. Paralympic sailor born on February 8, 1981, in Clearwater, Florida. He gained recognition for winning a silver medal in the three-person keelboat event (Sonar) at the 2016 Summer Paralympics. In 2003, Kendell lost both of his legs in a tragic airplane accident that also claimed the lives of his father and a family friend. His father was a New Zealander and a sailor, and he received a hero's welcome upon returning from the Rio Paralympics.
