Abraham C. van der Tak, known as Bram van der Tak, is a prominent Dutch chess player born in 1935 in Sint Pancras. He learned chess at a lower school in Delft. Starting with correspondence chess in 1966, he became the ICCF champion of the Netherlands in 1972. He has represented his country at the Chess Olympiad and earned the title of ICCF master in 1981. A prolific writer, he has contributed over thirty years to 'Schaakschakeringen' and published chess books, including 'Tactics in the Chess Opening'.
