Branka Ivančan-Picek is a Croatian meteorologist and director of the State Hydrometeorological Institute. She graduated in 1979 and earned her doctorate in 1997 from the University of Zagreb's Faculty of Science. Employed at the State Hydrometeorological Institute since 1979, she has appeared on camera from 1983 to 2014. Since 2001, she has been the head of the meteorological research and development sector. Her six-year term as the director of the State Hydrometeorological Institute concludes on December 31, 2023.
