Brett Elliott Crozier (born February 24, 1970) is a United States Navy captain and a graduate of the United States Naval Academy. He served as a naval aviator, flying helicopters before transitioning to fighter aircraft. After completing the Navy's nuclear training program, he served as an officer on several aircraft carriers. In spring 2020, he was the commanding officer of USS Theodore Roosevelt during a COVID-19 outbreak on the ship, which led to his relief from command after raising concerns for the crew's health.
