Brian McMillan was a New Zealand pilot, alpine skier, and ski jumper born on October 24, 1912, in Stratford, New Zealand. He won the New Zealand Ski Championships in 1936 and held the New Zealand distance record for ski jumping at 18.6 meters. He was a pilot for the British South American Airways, flying the Star Tiger aircraft that disappeared over the North Atlantic on January 30, 1948. His legacy includes the McMillan Ski Cup named in his honor.
