Brian Oddie (1905-1996) was a British long-distance runner and meteorologist. He finished ninth in the 5000 meters at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics and placed sixth in the three miles at the 1930 British Empire Games. Oddie studied physics at Queen Mary College in London and joined the Meteorological Office in 1926, eventually becoming its Deputy Director from 1959 to 1966.
