Brian Sinclair (27 September 1915 - 13 December 1988) was a British veterinarian who worked with his elder brother Donald Sinclair and partner Alf Wight, who authored semi-autobiographical books under the name James Herriot. Sinclair helped portray the characters Tristan and Siegfried Farnon in Herriot's work. He graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in Edinburgh in 1943, joined the Veterinary Corps in India, and later became the head of the veterinary investigation center in Leeds. He enjoyed public appearances and lectured at veterinary schools.
