Brigitte Grießing is a former German shot putter who competed for East Germany. She was born on February 22, 1956, in Templin. Grießing finished sixth at the 1976 European Indoor Athletics Championships in Munich. At the East German Championships, she won bronze medals in 1974 (outdoors) and in 1976 and 1977 (indoors). On June 1, 1974, she set a junior world record with a throw of 18.12 m during a sports event in Jena. She is married to discus thrower Dieter Werner and currently lives near Neubrandenburg.
