Brij Narayan is an Indian classical musician born on April 25, 1952, in Udaipur, Rajasthan. He specializes in playing the Sarod, a traditional string instrument. He began learning under the tutelage of his father, Ram Narayan, and other instructors. Narayan gained recognition by winning the All India Radio Instrumentalists competition in 1967 and accompanied his father on a tour to Afghanistan in 1969. He graduated from the University of Mumbai in 1972 and subsequently worked in films while touring various countries, including Africa, Europe, and America.
