Brita Högnäs-Sahlgren is a Finnish journalist, book publisher, and author writing in Swedish. Born on August 1, 1938, she studied at Kokkolan ruotsalaista yhteislyseota and completed her social work degree in Helsinki in 1959. She has worked for various newspapers and held positions in women's organizations and theaters. In 1982, she co-founded Sahlgrens förlag Ab, which published both Swedish and Finnish literature until 2014. Her notable works include a documentary novel about Finnish life and her last book on her cousin's experiences during and after WWII.
