Britta Skaar was a Norwegian visual artist born on December 25, 1918, in Stockholm and passed away on October 7, 2021, in Bærum. She studied at the Staatliche Hochschule für Angewandte Kunste in Berlin from 1937 to 1939, and continued her art education at Skolan för Konst in Stockholm from 1940 to 1943. After World War II, she furthered her studies at the Statens håndverks- og kunstindustriskole in Oslo from 1946 to 1947 and at the Statens kunstakademi from 1947 to 1949. Her work, 'Klippelandskap', is part of the National Museum of Art’s collection in Oslo.
