Brown Moore Meggs was an influential American writer and music executive, best recognized for signing the Beatles to their first U.S. distribution contract while with Capitol Records. He launched the music magazine TeenSet in 1964 and established Seraphim Records, a budget classical music label. After a brief tenure as COO of Capitol, he focused on writing, winning accolades for his documentary and receiving an Edgar Award nomination for his novel 'Saturday Games.' In 1984, he returned to Capitol as president of Angel Records, rejuvenating the brand for the digital era.
