He worked at WDR from 1978 to 2002, gaining fame through his radio show Pop-Tops (1986-1995) and producing the Schlagerrallye hit parade in 1984. Additionally, he was involved in music curation for various magazine shows and served as a production manager for Swedish language broadcasts at Deutschlandfunk in the 1980s. He was commonly known as 'Adolf Buddha Krämer' due to his youth nickname related to his size.
