Bun'yū Kai (甲斐 文融) was a Japanese painter and a Soto Zen monk, born on March 15, 1920, and passed away on December 26, 1997. He served as the 13th head priest at Zosen-ji Temple in Nakatsu, Oita Prefecture. He was recognized as a member of the Hakujikai and was proficient in oil painting, Japanese painting, and sculpture.
