Charles Joseph Mahaney is an American Christian minister, currently the senior pastor at Sovereign Grace Church of Louisville. He previously served as president of Sovereign Grace Ministries and was a founding pastor of Covenant Life Church in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Mahaney's church is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention. In 2013, he resigned from his position at Sovereign Grace Ministries to plant a new church. Mahaney faced a class-action lawsuit in 2012 concerning sexual abuse claims but denied the allegations, which were dismissed due to the statute of limitations.
