C. Vivian Stringer is a prominent former American basketball coach, recognized for her outstanding contributions to women's basketball. She coached the Rutgers University women's basketball team from 1995 until her retirement in 2022. Stringer made history as the first NCAA coach to lead three different women's programs to the Final Four and is considered one of the winningest coaches in women's college basketball. She received numerous accolades, including the Naismith College Coach of the Year award and induction into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame and Basketball Hall of Fame.
