He gained notoriety for his romantic relationship and marriage to fellow adult film star Jill Kelly in 1993. Struggling with severe depression and drug addiction, Jammer's life ended tragically when he committed suicide on January 25, 1995, following Kelly's departure to be with another actress. Author Lars Hermansson's novel 'Tjänstemän' partially addresses Jammer's last years.
