Carel Sandon is an Italian professional lightweight boxer born on March 29, 1983, in Lubumbashi, Zaire. Known as "Er Puma," he has been boxing professionally since 2007, amassing 14 wins in his first four years. Sandon is the nephew of WBA middleweight champion Sumbu Kalambay. His career faced a setback after an attempted suicide in 2011, leading to time spent in rehabilitation. He made his comeback to the ring on February 22, 2013, in Montalto di Castro, Rome, defeating Zoltan Horvarth.
