Carl Anders Christiansen, also known as Plys, was a Danish chauffeur and resistance fighter born on March 7, 1918, in Copenhagen. During the German occupation, he actively engaged in sabotage operations for the Danish resistance, leading him to go underground in early 1945. He participated in a BOPA-organized sabotage operation in Tårbæk on April 29, 1945, but was severely injured and died later that night at a German hospital. He is commemorated for his sacrifices, with memorials honoring him at various schools and on a significant memorial plaque in Ryvangen.
