Carl Ludvig Schreiner Godske was a prominent Norwegian mathematician and meteorologist born on 20 May 1906 in Bindal. He contributed significantly to the field, becoming a member of the Bergen School of Meteorology and serving as a meteorologist in Bergen from 1938. In 1946, he was appointed professor at the University of Bergen. Notable for his publication, 'Dynamic Meteorology and Weather Forecasting,' from 1957, he also advanced the use of electronic computers in Norway. He held leadership roles in the Norwegian Geophysical Society and was honored as a Knight of St. Olav in 1967.
