Carl McVoy (January 3, 1931 – January 3, 1992) was an American pianist known for his influence on the boogie-woogie genre. He was a cousin of Jerry Lee Lewis and contributed to his musical development. Initially recording at Sun Records, he launched the Hi Records label with the song 'You Are My Sunshine.' Though he later transitioned back into the construction industry, he left a legacy in music that marked his brief but impactful career. McVoy passed away on his 61st birthday.
