Carlo Simonelli, born on September 22, 1938, in Chur, is a Swiss folk musician from the Graubünden canton. He self-taught himself to play the accordion during his apprenticeship as an electrician in 1955. He formed a musical group with his brother Sepp and clarinetist Arno Caflisch, named the Gebrüder Simonelli. In 1957, he purchased his own instrument, and they created another group called Seestern. In 1969, he founded the Engadiner Ländlerfründa, which still performs under his leadership. His best-known composition is a schottisch titled Im Felsaschuss.
