Carlos Eduardo Chabalgoity is a Brazilian former professional tennis player born on February 2, 1965. Known as "Chapecó", he won the junior Orange Bowl tournament twice in his early years. He played collegiate tennis at Anderson College in South Carolina and achieved a best singles ranking of 287 in the world during his professional career, where he reached the quarter-finals at Itaparica in 1983. In 2014, he captained the Brazil Davis Cup team during a tie against Paraguay amid a player boycott. His sister Cláudia also competed professionally.
